TNTET 2018 Syllabus – Tamil Nadu TET Paper 1 Syllabus, Paper 2 Syllabus and Paper pattern & Exam Scheme

Teachers Recruitment Board Of Tamilnadu is going to conduct Teachers Eligibility Test 2018 in the month of October. Tamilnadu Teachers Eligibility Test also known as TNTET is for the candidates who have B.ed. degree and other qualifications related to their post category. Here we are providing the detailed syllabus, Exam Pattern, Paper Scheme and Eligibility Details etc.

Tamil Nadu TET Syllabus 2018

The exam will be conducted in two papers viz paper 1  & paper 2. The candidates who are preparing for the post of teacher in primary level will appear in Paper I. While the candidates who are preparing for the upper primary level will appear in Paper II. The board will organize the exam for both papers according to the following paper pattern. Tamil Nadu TET-2018 Paper I Syllabus

  1. Test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning, relevant to the age Group 6–11 years.
  2. Test Items for Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the Medium of Instruction. The Candidate has to choose any one of the languages mentioned in Sl. No. ii above.
  3. Test Items for Language II – ENGLISH will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  4. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects.
  5. The questions in the test Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed Syllabus of the State for Classes I–V but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, will be upto the Secondary Stage.

TN TET 2018 Paper II Exam Pattern (for classes VI to VIII): Duration of exam - Three hours
